Media: paper collage with acrylic or gouache on mat or illustration board.
8.5 x 11" or 9x12 surface 8.5 x 8.5 image size (Square!)
Create a collage emphasizing one of the following color schemes.
Triadic, Analogous, Split complementary, Double complementary or
Monochromatic.

Optional:
You may incorporate acrylic or gouache paint to color or tint your collage.

Use material from a variety of sources, magazines, photos, colored paper etc.
Look for blended color and texture.
Avoid using words or cut out text for this project
Use photos for their symbolic imagery as well as for areas of color.

Cover entire page with painted color or collaged material.

Use white glue or acrylic matte medium watered down to usable consistency,
Use a fairly wide brush and lay glue down generously to both surfaces, allow the glue to set up a bit and place material on board.
Paper tends to wrinkle as glue dries so make sure you apply pressure to the surface as it begins to buckle.

Remember I am looking for color! Using photographic sources will allow you to work with shades and tints for your chosen color scheme.
Allow things to unfold from your collected resources.
Don’t get too involved in creating a representational image or narrative structure, allow the color to be the main emphasis.
